According to the source, a 35-year-old man surnamed Wu, who lives in Luk Kwai House, Kwai Chung Village, surrendered himself to the police station today (24th), claiming that he was a person in the film, and sprayed water on the unit in the village two days ago (22nd). The police received a report yesterday (23rd), and the case was listed as a police investigation.
After further investigation, officers from the Sixth Team of the Criminal Investigation Team of Kwai Tsing Police District arrested a 35-year-old man surnamed Wu local in Kwai Chung District at about 6:40 pm today on suspicion of loitering and violating the "Prevention and Control of Disease (Wearing of Masks) Regulations" Act Cap. 599I, and the nuisance offence under Section 4 of the Summary Offences Ordinance, he suspected of spitting water at the gates and doorbells of a number of residential units in the corridors of buildings in Kwai Chung District.
The arrested man is being detained for investigation.
Police reiterated that loitering is a criminal offence and carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison if convicted.
