An indictment was filed on Tuesday (Tuesday) against Roman Klimov, 39, a resident of Nazareth who is accused of breaking into his neighbors' house, a Holocaust survivor and her husband, and stole property and money from him.

Police have sought to extend Klimov's detention until the end of the simplified proceedings against him.

The incident happened a week and a half ago, when Klimov arrived early in the morning at his neighbors' house, both in their eighties.

He broke into the house, which was locked, threatened the elderly man that he and his family would be harmed, and stole from the house two bags containing an earring, credit cards, a thousand shekels and dentures.

Following a complaint filed by the couple, police opened an investigation during which findings were collected from the scene of the incident, and arrested the suspect.

The owner of the apartment that was broken into is a Holocaust survivor, whose life was saved during the war thanks to a young nun.

She said the outbreak of their home aroused in her "old fears," and since then she has had difficulty sleeping at nights.

After the burglar's arrest, the stolen property was returned to the couple.
