A baby boy was shot and killed in a shootout in Atlanta, USA.
And US media quoted police as saying that the six-month-old was taken to Grande Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead after being shot after he was trapped with his mother in an exchange of fire in a street of Atlanta.
In turn, the child's mother explained that she was driving her car when the shooting began between two people in two cars, and one of the bullets tragically hit her baby.
The city's police chief, Rodney Bryant, confirmed that Atlanta police are working hard to resolve the issue, adding, "We are still in the early stages of the investigation."
The United States is witnessing a sharp rise in killings and shootings due to the proliferation of weapons that federal laws allow for the possession of individuals and the spread of a culture of violence among members of American society.
