Even at the age of 36 Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most sought after footballers, alongside of course Leo Messi and much younger names like Killian Ambape and Arling Holland.

In a certain situation these names may still unite under one roof, but the speculations are too many.

This summer, the Portuguese star is expected to leave Juventus for a variety of reasons, such as exhaustion, the fear that the team will not play in the Champions League and also the club's desire to change its face a bit and not be dependent on Ronaldo, no matter how big.

In fact, quite a few advise the old lady to say hello to the Portuguese, with the latest to do so being former coach Similiano Allegri, who says: "Ronaldo is hindering the club's progress" from Turin.

The two most prominent candidates to dress Ronaldo in their media are Real Madrid and Manchester United, both of whom played long before moving to Italy.

The one who seems to be more active at the moment in trying to bring him back to her lap is United, who know how important it is for them to finish 1-4 in the Premier League or win the Europa League to secure a place in the Champions League.

A place in the most prestigious factory of all, means big money, that could fund Ronaldo's return to Old Trafford.

According to a report in the Mirror, this is indeed the action plan of the Red Devils.

Although there are still no official negotiations or an official statement from either side, it seems that Ronaldo will also be happy to return to the Premier League and United is - most likely - the preferred option and even the only one for him in the British Isles.

According to the English newspaper, Paul Pogba may end his career at United and do the opposite, back to his former Juventus, all as part of a deal that will land Ronaldo on the red side of Manchester.
