A 56-year-old female passer-by was hit by concrete falling from the sky and died when she passed Chui Hang Building, Tsui Ping South Village, Kwun Tong four years ago.
His dependants filed a petition in the High Court yesterday (8th), alleging that the Housing Authority and the property management company were involved in negligence and demanded compensation.
The plaintiff is Huang Xiuqiong and his dependant Du Xiaoyi (transliteration), and the defendant is the Housing Authority and Hong Kong Yaju Property Management Co., Ltd.
The complaint alleges that Huang was hit and killed by the peeling concrete of Cui Hang Building, Tsui Ping Village, Kwun Tong on September 18, 2018. The plaintiff believed that the incident was caused by the defendant’s negligence and breach of statutory responsibilities, so he initiated a lawsuit for compensation.
