Members of the civil defense in Homs this evening put out a fire that affected fruitful trees in the western countryside of Homs.
Brigadier General Ghayath Aqil, Director of the Civil Defense Branch in Homs, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the branch's operations room had received a report about a fire in agricultural lands containing vine and olive trees in the village of Al-Khweikha in the western countryside of Homs.
He added that the members of the branch went immediately to the place and controlled the fire before it spread to large areas, noting that the burned area amounted to three acres.
