Tartous-Sana
Members of the Forestry Department in the Tartous Agriculture Directorate today extinguished a fire that broke out in agricultural lands in the village of Basmaqah in the countryside of Safita.
The head of the Forester Department, Eng. Hassan Nassif, said in a statement to SANA that the members of the regiment, in cooperation with the people, managed to control the fires that approached the homes of the citizens, indicating that the fire destroyed some fruit trees and plantings in the village.
The Tartous fire brigade extinguished six fires, which broke out the day before yesterday in separate areas of the governorate.
