The Dießen trade association raised 1,100 euros with its fundraising campaign “Together for one another”.
18 bright red piggy banks that had been set up in retail and bank branches in Advent 2020 were now "slaughtered" and the contents were counted and distributed.
Dießen - You started the campaign because “Dießen shines”, an important event of the trade association, had to be canceled last November due to the pandemic, explained chairwoman Uschi Wacke when the donation was presented. “Dießen shines” has always been a welcome opportunity for the forest kindergarten and the Carl Orff School to improve the coffers with their own stands and the sale of, for example, waffles, cookies, sausages or children's punch. The loss of income in the past year should now be compensated by the fundraising campaign.
Wacke gave a pig filled with 400 euros to Alina Hess from the forest kindergarten, one with 600 euros to Michael Bauer, the headmaster of the Carl Orff School, and one with 500 euros to Prioress Sister Ingeborg Ott, director of the St. Alban's children's home. A total of 1500 euros, because the Sparkasse Dießen-Landsberg and the Römhild pharmacy, where six pigs were fed with change at the cash registers, had each added another 200 euros. Thanks to the donation, the forest kindergarten can now finance an urgently needed compost toilet, in the Carl Orff School the money will flow into the digital equipment, and in the St. Alban children's home it will be used to finance play equipment, funding material or an excursion.
Uschi Wacke also had good news with regard to “Dießen shines”.
This year the popular shopping evening with music, street art and pre-Christmas delicacies could probably take place again: “We are in good spirits”, reported the chairwoman.

The people of Dießen and their guests, as well as all local businesses and of course the forest kindergarten, the Carl Orff School and the children from the St. Alban children's home can hope for a nice, atmospheric evening on November 25th.
