The Z Center shopping complex in the city of Qalansawa in Sharon collapsed today (Saturday) after a large fire that took place there.
Large forces of firefighters arrived at the scene of the incident in an attempt to stop the fire that had spread in the two-story building.
Due to the enormous fire intensity, the fire engines were removed from the building.
Firefighters struggled to prevent the fire from spreading toward nearby buildings.
There were no casualties but the structure was completely damaged and its roof collapsed.
The causes of the flames are unknown at this time.
A spokesman for the firefighters at the Sharon station, Eliran Shemesh, said: "Thirty firefighters worked on the site, dismantled the building and carried out a seepage of water in order to put out the fire. The firefighters removed the fear of another collapse and the fire spreading to other places."
