To revive culture and performing arts, cellist Gauthier Herrmann, 39, first thought of a hunger strike.
But
"too greedy"
, he preferred to tackle another challenge: a race of 900 kilometers in 13 days, a marathon with an average of 70 kilometers per day.
He will leave on April 18 from Montgeron (Essonne) to arrive in Aix-en-Provence on April 30.
Optimistic at heart, he wants to make people think about the resumption of cultural places
"in a sunny and encouraging way"
.
Like others, he had to cancel his concert dates,
"more than 80," he
says.
"We moan, but we have to relearn the profession with a smile
, he observes,
we wanted to show that we were ready to commit, to apprehend solidarity and surpassing oneself."
Originally, the musician planned to run alone, but was soon joined by supporters.
