The person who bought and owned the iconic painting is renowned British fashion designer Sir Paul Smith, who said: "What attracted me to Banksy's work was the clarity with which he paints and communicates reality itself. I was also impressed by his contemporary statements, in relation to today's world, ".
Katherine Arnold, head of the sales team at Sotheby's auction house, said: "I was very happy to receive and hold a work by Banksy. Painting with sunflowers offers a unique way of looking at the reality of today."
At the auction house, they stated that they are expecting a huge wave of interest in the sale, after Banks' oil works had record sales.
According to them: "Through the withered flowers, the artist presents the modern man's attitude to art and the environment, which pass from the world."
The current painting will go on sale on November 9, and will be shown beforehand in London and Nog Kong.
