A person sustained minor burns after a house fire broke out in the Al-Qasaa neighborhood in Damascus this evening.
A source from the Damascus Fire Brigade told SANA reporter that a fire broke out in a house on the third floor of a residential building opposite the Church of the Cross in Al-Qasaa neighborhood, and that the firefighters managed to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring houses.
The source indicated that the fire caused minor burns to the owner of the house, as a result of which he was taken to the French hospital, as well as damage to the entire contents of the house.
A source in the Damascus Police Command suggested that the cause of the fire was an electrical short, awaiting the report of the fire expert to confirm this.
