A return to university under the sign of precariousness

Student precariousness, purchasing power crisis, university budgets amputated by the additional cost of energy and the increase in the index point of teacher-researchers... According to Fage, the leading student union, the start-up costs (registration, insurance, health, etc.) have increased by 13.02%, or 1,307 euros.

Also on the rise, living expenses now amount to 1,219 euros on average.

The biggest increase concerns consumption (+6%).

Housing remains the main item of expenditure for a student (57%).

To cope with the difficulties, the government took emergency measures this summer: the revaluation of scholarships on social criteria by 4% and housing aid by 3.5%, as well as the extension of the university restaurant ticket…
