Because of the new 2G-Plus regulation, the footballers are taking an early winter break.

Other sports associations are still considering how to proceed.

District

- The 2G-Plus rule has been in effect for sports, culture and leisure events since Wednesday.

This means that both athletes and visitors must be vaccinated, recovered and additionally tested.

In circles with a seven-day incidence over 1000, sports are completely stopped.

The sports associations are dealing with the new situation very differently.

A summary.

Football

The Bavarian Football Association (BFV) has decided to send its amateur kickers into the winter break early.

In the district, this decision only affects the SC Olching regional league team.

It should have played against SV Mering on Saturday.

All other teams were already in the winter break - like most of the teams in Bavaria.

“Even if most of the clubs are already in the winter break, it was important to us to give the rest of the teams security during this uncertain time.

We do that with this decision, ”says BFV Vice President Robert Schraudner.

So far, the association has come through the pandemic well in the 2021/22 season.

98.6 percent of all scheduled games could be pulled through.

Handball

The management team of the Bavarian Handball Association (BHV) wants to meet on Wednesday evening and discuss the continuation of the season.

The previous matchday was already heavily influenced by Corona.

Around 30 percent of all scheduled games were postponed to an unspecified later date.

tennis

The Bavarian Tennis Association (BTV) reacted in horror to the rules for sport that were once again tightened overnight.

The association explains on its website that they have therefore contacted the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior and Health.

The changes to the current status have not yet had any effect on gaming operations.

The winter round continues for the time being in compliance with the 2G-Plus requirement.

Table tennis

While the German Table Tennis Association has already canceled its first games - including the away game of TuS Fürstenfeldbruck II at TTC HS Schwarza - the Bavarian Table Tennis Association (BTTV) will not comment on how to proceed until Thursday.

To this end, the BTTV Presidium convened a meeting on Wednesday evening.

basketball

The basketball players are trying to continue their season despite the ongoing restrictions - at least for the time being.

Contrary to an earlier report by the Bavarian Basketball Association (BBV) on Tuesday, the season has not yet been canceled.

The Presidium wants to discuss and decide how things will continue in the Bavarian and regional leagues at the weekend.

The districts and counties, on the other hand, can decide on their own responsibility whether and how to play in their leagues.
