A 12-year-old boy has died in a tragic accident.

He was run over by a tractor on an adventure farm in Borgholzhausen.

Borgholzhausen – On Thursday there was a tragic accident on an adventure farm in Borgholzhausen (NRW) near Gütersloh.

A 12-year-old boy was run over by a tractor.

He died on the spot from his injuries.

The accident happened on Thursday morning (July 28) around 11:40 a.m., reports 24RHEIN.

"According to initial investigations, a 12-year-old boy from Borgholzhausen fell under a tire on a tractor with a trailer driving across the farm," said the Gütersloh police.

The boy was treated by an ambulance, but died at the scene of the accident from his severe injuries.

Relatives and witnesses were cared for by emergency chaplains and the police.

A 46-year-old man from Borgholzhausen was at the wheel of the tractor.

According to the police, he is an employee on the farm.

The police have launched an investigation into the tragic accident.

The leisure farm on Bielefelder Strasse in Borgholzhausen is a popular destination for families with children.
