After a head-on collision on the STA 9 district road in Herrsching, a man from Munich was injured with moderate severity on Thursday.
He was flown to a hospital in a helicopter.

- A moderately injured man and two slightly injured people were involved in a traffic accident that occurred yesterday at around 12 noon on the district road STA 9 in Herrsching.
A 31-year-old from Munich drove his Mercedes Sprinter on the road from Herrsching in the direction of Frieding.
In a right-hand bend, he came to the opposite lane, presumably due to improper speed, and collided with a BMW.
Accident in Herrsching: Mercedes driver's head hits the windshield
The BMW, driven by a 27-year-old Herrschinger, was pushed to the right against the guardrail.
In the collision, the head of the Mercedes driver, who is currently not wearing a seat belt, hit the windshield.
He was taken to a hospital for medical treatment by rescue helicopter with moderate injuries.
The BMW driver and his 28-year-old co-driver from Herrsching suffered minor injuries.
Both vehicles had to be towed.
The police estimate the property damage at around 50,000 euros.
The district road was closed in the accident area for about 2.5 hours.
The Herrsching police recently carried out another speed control on the STA 9 district road between Frieding and Drößling.
