Accused of having killed his partner, Ramon Cortès charges his mistress

2020-07-07T17:00:32.068Z

This fifties and his ex-lover are tried on appeal before the Assize Court of Hérault for the assassination of Rosine Roig, in 2013

Ramon Cortès, 50, resumed contact with judicial reality on Monday early in the afternoon. In 2017, this man was sentenced to 30 years' imprisonment for having kidnapped, murdered and then buried in a wood in Ortaffa (Pyrénées-Orientales) Rosine Roig, 43, his ex-partner and mother of three children. He had appealed this first judgment and was released last January. This did not prevent the accused from interrupting his judicial review on June 25. And to try to jump out of the window when the gendarmes came to pick him up at daybreak in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon (Gard), Monday morning.

"I fled because I was afraid that people would not listen to me", justly justified the accused before the Assize Court of Hérault, before serving a new scenario of the assassination Rosine who, in his mouth, exonerates him completely. "I did not kill my wife. It's Sandrine Delporte ( Editor's Note: co-accused sentenced to 18 years imprisonment in the first instance ) who shot Rosine. I fell to the ground. I woke up crying. Sandrine buried Rosine. I didn't mean to kill my wife. I wanted to go with her. And for the first trial I took everything on me, "he says while against him, in this case, there is an impressive mountain of testimony that relates his own statements of wanting to" shoot him in the head "

Regularly beaten up by this fickle man

Because, this summer 2013, Ramon Cortes, tracked Rosine for weeks. He watched her to “burn her”, to remove her, which he had managed to do twice to chain her in the strict sense of the term. Rosine was regularly beaten up by this violent and fickle man.

Cleaning lady at the Céret museum, Rosine then led a clandestine life, a life of permanent fear, sleeping in the museum, with friends and colleagues who, after dark, organized her exfiltration hidden in a car. On December 16 at 10 p.m., the hunt turned to drama, when Ramon Cortès managed to catch her, then push her into his car and tie him up.

The following ? A nightmare, in the night. A hike in the woods for several hundred meters to "drag" Rosine. The destination ? A hole, like a sort of tomb, previously dug in the middle of the forest, in Ortaffa. There Rosine was shot in the head. For this disastrous expedition, Ramon Cortes was accompanied by Sandrine Delporte, 49, his sweetheart at the time, who sobs in the box, regretting that he could not prevent this misfortune.

“I couldn't help Rosine who was a good person. I was too scared. I participated. I drove the vehicle and then stayed in the car. I will never forgive myself for what happened, ”she explains to President Pinarel. “Sandrine Delporte is in a personal process of redemption, of reconstruction. That is why she did not ask to be released. She recognizes her participation, but certainly not the assassination of Rosine ”, specifies her lawyer, Me Iris Christol.
