Acting Police Commissioner Moti Cohen said this morning (Thursday) in a conversation with district commanders that "in light of the political situation and the decisions made, it appears that in the near future a permanent commissioner will not be appointed to the Israel Police" - Walla! NEWS learned. "In order to maintain organizational stability and the understanding that at this time continuity is required in the processes carried out in the organization, I will continue to lead the police in the role of MM until a different decision is made."

Cohen turned to the commanders and clarified to them that "I expect you at this time to be attentive, sensitive and united so that together we can carry out the significant tasks placed on the shoulders of the police at this time."
