The French Caesarized actress Doria Tillier will be the mistress of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Cannes Film Festival, which will take place from July 6 to 17 on the Croisette.

Canal +, alongside the Cannes Film Festival, is pleased to announce that Doria Tillier will be the mistress of the opening and closing ceremonies of this 74th edition, produced by Canal + and which will be broadcast unencrypted, live and exclusively on July 6 and 17, 2021,
”the encrypted channel announced in a press release on Tuesday.

Rewarded in 2020 by the César for best actress for
La Belle Époque
directed by her ex-companion Nicolas Bedos, Doria Tillier made her film debut in 2017 in
Monsieur & Madame Adelman
by the same director.
She had been revealed as presenter of the weather forecast for Canal +, a role she held for two seasons.
More recently, she played one of Jonathan Cohen's contenders in the series
The Flame
.

by Sébastien Marnier, which is scheduled for release in 2021, specifies the press release.
The Cannes Film Festival has yet to announce the film which will be screened during the “
last
screening
” after the awards on July 17th. The composition of the jury, chaired by the American Spike Lee, as well as the poster for this 74th edition have not yet been revealed.
