The price of a gram of gold in the 21-carat local market has risen to about 5,000 Syrian pounds today, affected by the rise in the global price of an ounce to $ 1831.
According to the bulletin issued by the Handicraft Society for Crafting and Jewelry Making in Damascus today, the 21-carat gram recorded a selling price of 153,000 pounds and the purchase price of 152,500 pounds, while the 18-carat gram reached the selling price of 131,143 and the purchase price of 130,643 pounds.
The association asked the craftsmen to adhere to the price it issued, calling on citizens wishing to buy gold not to pay for it except in accordance with the bulletin issued by the association and distributed telephone numbers for complaints 2248005 and 0991937718.
