The AFIP enabled, through Resolution 4792 published this Wednesday in the Official Gazette, the registration to request  loans at a subsidiary rate to pay salaries. It is for those employers that were left out of the ATP for having increased their sales against the previous year. Rates range from 0 to 15%, depending on how much the billing has increased.

In July, the ATP (Work and Production Assistance Program) incorporated credits at subsidized rates to assist companies that have had a positive nominal variation in their turnover of between 0% and 30%.

Now, with this Resolution, the AFIP enabled the possibility of accessing these credits.

How to get loans

The AFIP will notify the benefited employers that they will be able to start the process to access the financing. The application is initiated through the AFIP website and is processed with the selected bank. Companies have until Tuesday, August 18 , inclusive. According to AFIP, there are 75,000 companies in a position to request them.

Credits at a subsidized rate will be used to pay salaries. Therefore, the financing will be credited directly to the workers' CBUs.

The interest rate will be fixed and its level will depend on the magnitude in the nominal variation of the turnover of each company between the months of June 2020 and 2019:

The companies must return the credits in 12 installments, but they will have a three-month grace period. This means that they will only start paying after the fourth month. The installments will be monthly, equal and consecutive.

The maximum amount that they will be able to obtain is the equivalent of the sum of 120% of a minimum living and mobile salary (which is $ 16,875) for each worker that makes up the payroll until May 31. That is $ 20,250.

In no case, the amount of the credit may exceed the sum of the net salary of each of the employees of the applicant company corresponding to the month of May 2020. In this way, a company with 10 workers that meets the eligibility criteria may request a maximum of up to $ 202,500.

Traditional ATP

For its part, the original ATP, which directly provides a subsidy to pay part of the employees' salary, began to be paid on Tuesday.

In this new stage, 274,557 companies were registered to request the corresponding aid for the payment of July wages.

The ATP program had 248,000 companies in April, 250,000 in May and 218,000 in June, with 2.4, 2.1 and 1.8 million, respectively, of workers benefited. This Tuesday it will pay part of the salaries of 1.2 million employees in the private sector.
