Musician R. Kelly was sentenced in a New York court to 30 years in prison after being convicted last year of exploiting and trafficking women.
According to the indictment, the musician committed a series of sexual offenses for many years on dozens of women and minors.
The jury ruled that he was guilty of all nine counts in which he was charged.
His trial in 2021 was one of the most well-publicized in the Mi-Two era.
The singer, whose full name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, has previously won three Grammy Awards, released 12 studio albums and sold over 75 million copies, and has worked with Whitney Houston, Britney Spears and Michael Jackson, among others.
He is one of the most prominent figures to stand trial for sex offenses in the #MeToo era, which has fueled allegations leveled at a musician since the early 2000s.
One of these allegations is that among the singer's alleged victims is also the singer Elijah, who died in a plane crash in 2001. Some of the various allegations against him were described in the series "Surviving R. Kelly", which aired in 2019.
The jury heard from the testimony at trial how Ho was forced to comply with "majority laws", including calling him "Dedi" and asking for permission to eat or go to the bathroom.
One witness said she hoped to interview him for her radio station, and said he locked her up for two days without food and water before attacking her.
Other testimonies told of "apology letters" that were required to be written and allegedly absolved the singer of any guilt, and some also claimed that he had concealed the fact that he had contracted herpes before having sex.

Some of the victims said they hoped Kelly could help them launch their careers, only to find that he required them to be strictly obedient and would punish them if they did not comply.
Some witnesses said the singer feared for his victims, lest they fulfill all his desires, sexual and other.
Kelly did not appear on the witness stand during the defense arguments at the trial, which lasted about two days.
His lawyers tried to claim that Kelly's sex with the accusers was consensual, and that these were former fans who were offended when he was free in his eyes.
They tried to show that some of them remained in touch with Kelly even long after the attacks began, and wondered why the witnesses did not contact the police or wait years before raising the allegations against him.
