The corpses are now being examined by forensic medicine.
Espelkamp (dpa) - After fatal shots at a woman and a man in Espelkamp in East Westphalia, the autopsy of the bodies has begun.
The Bielefeld police told the German press agency on Friday.
The alleged perpetrator (48) who was arrested at his place of residence on Thursday around six hours after the act in Lower Saxony should be brought before a judge on Friday.
The alleged motive could not be named for tactical reasons, said a spokesman.
The police announced further information for the rest of the day.
It is unclear whether the suspect from Diepenau, around 13 kilometers from Espelkamp, has commented on the crime.
The police initially did not provide any information on the nationality of the perpetrators and victims.
The police do not yet want to say what the relationship between the two victims was.
The investigators now state the age of the woman who was shot: she was 51 years old.
