After a wait of about two years, the film "The Minions 2: Gru's Rise" was released in Israel this weekend, but inspired by a global ticking trend - teenagers decided to come to the cinemas wearing suits and dresses and many riots of teenagers were recorded.
But despite the riots in cinemas, the sequel to "Minions" became a real phenomenon and closed the weekend with the highest opening figures for an animated film ever in Israel with over 100,000 viewers.
Over the weekend, tens of thousands of parents and children came to hundreds of screenings in cinemas around the country - from Beit Gabriel to Eilat - and filled to the brim with the screenings of "Minions 2: Gru's World", both in the dubbed version and in the translated version.
If the film continues in this trend, the film is expected to register as the biggest animated hit of the summer and perhaps of all time in Israel.
In many halls, as mentioned, the youths came dressed in suits and dresses and rioted in the halls.
Many teenagers raged at the screening, threw popcorn, uprooted chairs - and in some cases even had to order security.
