The directors of the Ministries of Health and Education have decided that the rapid test will not be a condition of entry to the educational institution for the recovering children.

The Director General of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Nachman Ash, and the Director General of the Ministry of Education, Brigadier General (Res.) Yigal Slovik, agreed tonight (Sunday) that children aged 12-3 who have recovered from Corona during the past six months will not be required to undergo a rapid examination. As part of Operation Antigen 2, as a condition for their entry into the educational institution.

As you may recall, as part of Operation Antigen 2, MDA distributed tens of thousands of antigen kits for children's self-examination to be performed on the last day of the Sukkot holiday, in preparation for returning to kindergarten and school.

This coming Thursday (September 30), students in the education system are expected to return to the educational institutions, with some of them (about 50,000 students) returning to the daycare centers the day before, subject to an antigen test and presentation of a parent statement of a negative result.

Now, as stated, the recovering students have been excluded from this procedure and are not bound by it.

Meanwhile, MDA announced today that until next Wednesday, the distribution of kits for rapid testing will continue in about 200 MDA testing complexes across the country, after more than half a million parents have not yet arrived to take the kits for testing their children.
