The consolidation of the financial structure allows Air France-KLM to more calmly manage its investments for the future, decided within the framework of its transformation plan launched in 2019. In particular, the renewal of its fleet, which will help the company to achieve its objective of reducing CO emissions by 30% per passenger by 2030. Proof of the importance of this plan, it has continued to order planes, even in the midst of a health crisis.
The group has planned to invest 1 billion euros per year by 2025, to buy latest-generation aircraft - 38 Airbus A350s and 10 Boeing 787s to replace its Boeing 777s on its long-haul routes;
60 A220-300s to replace its A318s, A319s and certain A320s on short and medium-haul routes.
