After her outstanding performance with Al-Thawra Club in the Arab Women's Basketball Championship, Syrian basketball star Elisa Makarian was crowned with the Cup for the best scorer in the tournament that concluded yesterday.
Makarian starred with her club through shots from various distances, especially with three-pointers, especially in the final match of the championship that Al-Thawra team fought with Beirut, Lebanon, and lost by 67-71 points yesterday to take second place.
Al-Thawra qualified for the final match by defeating the Jordanian Orthodox with a score of 97-74 points in the semi-finals, knowing that it finished the preliminary round of the championship with 7 points, despite its only loss with the Jordanian Al-Fuhais, where he opened his participation in this role by defeating the Jordanian Orthodox team with a score of 71-68 points. His second victory over the Lebanese club Beirut, with a score of 72-69 points, and the third victory over the Qatari women's team, with a score of 88-58 points.
