Al-Wathba team defeated Tishreen and Al-Jaish tied with Al-Ittihad Ahli Aleppo today in the first leg of the semi-finals of the Republic Cup for Football.
In the match that was held at Al-Basel Stadium in Lattakia, Al-Wathba defeated Tishreen 2-0, scored by Anas Buta in the 36th and 44th minutes.
In the match, which was attended by Al-Fayhaa Stadium in Damascus, the Army tied with Al-Ittihad Al-Ahly Aleppo with a goal each, where the Army scored Shadi Al-Hamwi and Al-Ahly Aleppo Mustafa Sheikh Youssef.
Tishreen and Al-Wathba teams qualified for the semi-finals after the first victory over Al-Wahda and the second over Al-Fatwa in the second leg of the quarter-finals, while Al-Ittihad Al-Ahly Aleppo and Al-Jaish teams qualified for the same round after legally winning 3-0 over Al-Hurriya and Al-Hargla teams for their withdrawal from the competition.
