The president of Colombia, Iván Duque announced on Monday that Euclides España, alias 'Jhonnier', considered one of the leaders of the FARC dissidents, was killed in the village of Tacueyó, in the department of Cauca .

This happened, according to the president, after a joint operation of the Armed Forces, National Police and the Prosecutor's Office.

Duque, who described Spain as "maximum leader of the FARC dissidents in the southwest of our country," said, via Twitter, that it is "responsible for the murder of social leaders, extortion and drug trafficking."
