A campaign calling on you to make the hamburger (tgifridaysuk)

A hamburger is one of the most pampering and sought-after dishes in the world and basically also the easiest to eat - except that all the toppings (cheese, bacon, pineapple, avocado, caramelized onion and what not) made the juicy dish a bit complicated to eat. Height makes it difficult for us to give a bite, the bottom bun does not always withstand the load and falls apart, the juices and sauces flow everywhere, the toppings fall to the plate and at the end we find ourselves using a knife and fork to finish the dish. Elegant it is not.

Various burger experts claim that the reason for all this mess is that we are simply eating the wrong burger and that the “right” way will upgrade our entire eating experience. According to the "experts", the top, thick and crunchy bun that is usually covered in sesame should be at the bottom of the hamburger - while the thin bun at the bottom should be at the top. In other words, the right way to eat a hamburger is to make it.

Simon Docs, founder of Burger Led, told INSIDER that eating an inverted hamburger helps the dripping meat juices soak into the thick bun and maintain flavor and cleanliness.

He said: "Hamburgers are served as they are solely for aesthetic purposes. The crown (the top of the bun) is usually thicker (and therefore stronger) than the heel, so for a better eating experience - you should actually make it."

He added: "The big bun will carry the weight of the burger and its toppings and reduce the likelihood that it will fall apart in our hands. A true burger connoisseur should always eat his burger upside down."

Matt Esther, founder of Burger List, reinforced his opinion: "At first I thought it was ridiculous. I always ate burgers as they were served, but on second thought it actually makes sense. I guess whoever claimed it thought about the science behind it so I'll give it a go. Raped with my next hamburger. " INSIDER reporter Rachel Hussie tried the method on her meat and said, "I was pleasantly surprised. When I got the burger, the bottom was already completely wet. By turning it over, the large, dry bun soaked up the juices and stood up bravely while the thinner bun upstairs remained intact." .

After tipping a partner at Reddit, one wrote in response that the opposite form of eating also upgrades the taste of the dish.

He wrote: "When people take a bite of an inverted hamburger, their tongue will come in first contact with the toppings before it comes in contact with the patty which is the ideal way. This way the toppings and seasoning of the dish are more noticeable."

Regarding this, an INSIDER reporter wrote: "I was not convinced. In my mouth everything was mixed so I did not feel a significant difference, but maybe I should have added more toppings. Overall, I repeat: an inverted hamburger is the right thing to do."

INSIDER reporter tastes an inverted hamburger:

"We'll even look into the possibility of serving upside-down burgers regularly"

On the UK's National Hamburger Day on August 27 (International Hamburger Day is celebrated on May 28), the TGI Friday burger chain launched its customers' 'FlipItChallange' challenge - and encouraged them to share a photo or video of their eating a burger. "In the best way," meaning reverse. An Instagram post read: "According to our experts, the best way to eat a burger is to make it. The thicker top bun absorbs the hamburger juice and helps maintain the flavor over time. The National Hamburger Holiday is happy! Who knows, if enough of you agree with us, we might even check The possibility of serving our burgers is reversed on a regular basis! "

To persuade the British public to "turn it around", TGI Friday teamed up with Charlotte Worthington, the Olympic gold medalist in freestyle BMX.

The Olympic champion who was also a former chef was photographed eating an inverted hamburger on her home training track at Corby.

She said: "I had so much fun having the opportunity to enjoy an inverted burger on my bike instead of a spoon! Although I can not recommend hamburger lovers to try eating it upside down while riding, I can assure you it is a discovery. Give it a chance."

Bardit creates an in-depth discussion about the right way to eat a hamburger, when it's not only the way (normal or reverse) that occupied them - but also the technique.

While some have recommended turning the hamburger as soon as it is served to your table, others have suggested leaving it in its current state but when lifting it from the plate rotate it to bite and then return it to its normal position (i.e. place the thumbs over and fingers below and not the other way around).
