Milk prices are rising to historic levels. The discounter Aldi is increasing the price of milk.
Experts expect that the competitors will soon follow suit.

, Aldi is signaling a new round of prices.
It leads to massive price increases.
A liter of organic whole milk is now more than 50 cents more expensive.
But if you don't drink milk, you still can't breathe a sigh of relief.
Because not only milk itself is affected - the prices for dairy products in the supermarket are also rising again.

Aldi and Co. – milk is becoming significantly more expensive
At the beginning of the month, the discounter Aldi announced a new round of prices for dairy products.
As a rule, price increases are also carried out by all competitors such as Lidl, Edeka, Rewe and Co. within a few days, reports the Lebensmittelzeitung.
Edeka has already announced: “We will also adjust the prices for some milk and dairy products to the new market situation in the coming days.
The amount is currently not certain and can vary depending on the product," reports the German Press Agency.
Milk prices are rising: organic whole milk is particularly expensive
The clearest price increase at the discounter Aldi was recorded for organic milk.
The price for organic whole milk is now 1.69 euros instead of the previous 1.15 euros.
The producer prices for organic goods have also risen significantly, the newspaper emphasizes that an increase of this magnitude was not to be expected.
As a result, the price difference between organic and traditional products has increased again.
Prices have been converging lately.
The reason for this was that the prices for conventional milk in supermarkets and discounters have already risen several times, while the price of the organic variant has only changed once.

The price for 1 liter of fresh whole milk has risen from 92 cents to 1.09 euros, a company spokeswoman said.
The price of low-fat fresh milk has increased by 15 cents to 99 cents.
According to the Lebensmittelzeitung, it was already the fourth round of awards for traditional milk this year.
In addition to milk, many other items have also become more expensive.
Around two weeks after Aldi Nord, Aldi Süd also increased the prices for various quark products.

In addition, customers have to dig deeper into their pockets for items such as crème fraîche, coffee cream, sour cream and buttermilk.
The prices of many of these products have already been raised at least once this year.
