The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported 9791 new Covid-19 cases and an increase in the seven-day incidence to 262.2 on Thursday morning.
Nevertheless, compared to the nationwide value of 419.7, NRW is still doing reasonably well.
Düsseldorf - On Wednesday, the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in North Rhine-Westphalia within seven days was still 249.7.
However, there were doubts about Wednesday's numbers because no new cases had been reported from cities like Cologne and Bonn.
According to the RKI, 46 people died in connection with the virus in North Rhine-Westphalia in the past 24 hours.
The incidence ranges from the Coesfeld district (151.3) to the front-runner Leverkusen, where the value (397.2) was just below 400.

As of Wednesday, 71.4 percent of the people in North Rhine-Westphalia were fully immunized.
Almost 75 percent have received at least one injection.
