Today, the Board of Commissioners of the Securities and Markets Authority issued a decision according to which it amended the penalty decision taken against Syriatel Mobile Telecom Company issued by Resolution No. 140 AD dated 8/31/2021 to cancel Article No. 3 and not include it in the violations and penalties register with the Authority.
In its decision, of which SANA received a copy, the council indicated that the amendment of the decision to impose a fine against the company came after studying the obstacles it faced.
The Authority's Board of Commissioners had imposed penalties on a number of companies, including Syriatel, for their delay in submitting financial statements within the legal deadlines, in violation of the disclosure and transparency system.
