In the United States, some 4.3 million people quit their jobs in August, according to data released by the Labor Department in its monthly report.

María Lorca, an economics professor at the University of Miami, explains in an interview with María Alejandra Requena that, although wages are rising, workers now have more job demands and "are looking for something different" to what employers offer them.
