District heating will be more expensive in Munich from October

District heating is the third most important type of heating in Germany – after gas and oil.

Around six million households use district heating.

A reduction in VAT would be good news, especially for Munich district heating users:

According to information from our newspaper, Stadtwerke München (SWM) will continue to raise the prices for district heating on October 1: Then the megawatt hour will cost around 17 percent more - instead of the previous 153.70 euros, 180.32 euros will be due from October.
