The theater of the Arab Cultural Center in Al-Aziziyah, Aleppo, hosted a heritage concert entitled (An Evening with Abi Khalil Al-Qabbani), as part of the celebration of the Syrian Culture Days held under the title Culture, Authenticity and Renewal.

The ceremony included the presentation of a bouquet of songs from Abi Khalil Al-Qabbani, who is considered the pioneer of the Arab musical theater, with the participation of a group of singers.

Jihad Ghanima, head of the Azizia Center, spoke about the importance of this event, which aims to revive, preserve and document the intangible heritage, as it is rich in creative qualities in many cultural fields.

As for the goal of the celebration, according to its supervisor, Eng. Mustafa Arab, to introduce the heritage media and their creations so that the march of authenticity continues and the artistic situation is strengthened, explaining that during the event, they talked about the life of Abi Khalil Al-Qabbani and what he suffered during his life as a result of fanaticism and the owners of dark thoughts, in addition to presenting a bouquet of well-known tunes performed by a group of singers.

A number of attendees expressed their happiness at recalling the good old days of the giant of singing and heritage.

It is noteworthy that Abu Khalil al-Qabbani was born in Damascus in 1833 and is considered one of the pioneers of the lyrical theater and the first to establish an Arab theater in the last third of the end of the nineteenth century in Damascus.
