Dishwasher cleaning trick (cookingwithayeh)
A popular foodie has revealed how she uses leftover food to make her dishwasher stay with a good, fresh smell and not stink.
Aya Peer, who maintains an Instagram page with about half a million followers, revealed that she simply adds a slice of used lemon to the dishwasher to maintain a good smell of the appliance and the dishes inside.
The home cook usually shares recipes online, but it was her cleaning trick that went viral.
"Use the dishwasher tablet as usual, but add the lemon you finished next to the dirty dishes," she explained in the video.
The piece of lemon can be whole or even just leftovers left after squeezing, "just get the seeds out of there," she warns.

"
Other surfers shared their other tips for using lemon pieces: "Do the same with your microwave. I put a piece of lemon in it and turn on for a minute or two, the smell is crazy," wrote one woman and another added: "I put half a lemon in a kettle and boil, it cleans everything." .

But technicians warn: it will ruin the dishwasher
However, after her video went viral, many dishwasher repair technicians came out against the method when one dishwasher technician wrote, "Never use lemon in your dishwasher! It will ruin the rubber" and explained that rubber destroyed in the dishwasher will cause the dishwasher to leak in the middle of work and repair may cost Very much.
Another technician claimed that if you use lemon with kernels, they will then clog the heating element, which is the fan-like structure at the bottom of the dishwasher and another warned that if you wash glasses in the dishwasher and put lemon in it - it can cause glass turbidity and glass engravings.
