Within the campaign (You Can…You Deserve) launched by the Syrian Commission for Family and Population Affairs in cooperation with the Syria Youth Imprint Foundation to promote the participation of women and youth in the local administration elections, an introductory seminar was organized on the importance of participating in these elections in Deir Ezzor Governorate.

In her intervention, Professor of History at Al-Furat University, Dr. Taliah Sayyah, reviewed the development process of the local administration in Syria and the decrees and laws related to it, pointing to the importance of Decree No. 107 of 2011 on the Local Administration Law, which simplified procedures for citizens by establishing service centers for them and reduced the burdens imposed on administrative units.
