Journalist Daniel Sirioti is suspected of trying to extort tens of thousands of shekels from an innocent citizen after he fabricated a story about sexual harassment and a police investigation that is allegedly being conducted against that citizen.
According to the interrogation broadcast on the tube program on Network 13, Siriuti did more and claimed to the citizen that the sexual harassment, which as stated did not occur at all, was towards the man's children.
When the citizen suspected that Serioti was selling him stories, Serioti reassured him and said it was something he had done several times before.
That is, he closed more cases in the police.
Sirioti, one of the oldest and most senior journalists in Israel today, is the head of a newspaper desk and even the winner of the "Shield of Social Justice," an award he received from Netanyahu.

On behalf of Daniel Serioti through his lawyer Shirley Tuvia Amit, it was stated: "A complaint was filed by Yariv Chen to the police, my client was questioned and gave his version and the investigation is over. This is irrelevant and fundamentally deprived. "
Israel Today responded: "The incident is in no way related to Israel Today and the work of the newspaper."
