The pressure on show jumper Ludger Beerbaum is increasing. The equestrian association is now also examining the allegations of animal cruelty - and taking an unusually clear position.

The affair about allegedly illegal parallel bars by show jumpers on Ludger Beerbaum's farm comes to a head and puts the four-time Olympic champion under further pressure.

As the German Equestrian Federation (FN) announced, the TV broadcaster RTL has now made available a multi-minute compilation of various video sequences.

»In an initial evaluation of the scenes, we come to the conclusion that parts of the documented events clearly do not correspond to our description of the touching.

For example, a backswing can be seen before the touching bar touches the horse's legs," said FN Secretary General Soenke Lauterbach in the statement.

RTL had accused the world-class show jumper of animal cruelty in a post on “RTL Extra” a week ago.

The 58-year-old is said to have used the illegal parallel bar training method on his jumping horses.

In a statement, Beerbaum vehemently denied the allegations.

"The contribution from 'RTL extra' is demonstrably wrong, defamatory and defamatory in many respects," he wrote last Wednesday and announced legal action.

Previously, the FN only had a few seconds of pixelated scenes at its disposal.

The equestrian association is now investigating whether there have been any illegal acts and who the people involved are.

The Disciplinary Commission of the FN is responsible for regulatory procedures.
