Anti-Semitic fresco in Avignon: Jacques Attali files a complaint

Jacques Attali has decided to file a complaint for "provocation to hatred and racial discrimination" and for "for public insult", after having been represented as a great manipulator on a fresco with anti-Semitic hints, painted on a wall in Avignon by the artist Lekto.

“It is a question of knowing under which conditions this drawing was carried out and who is the author”, details this Thursday Me Cyril Bonan on BFMTV.

"This drawing takes up everything that we have seen, with the representation of the Jewish plot, the anti-Semitic plot, which refers to all this propaganda that there was in France, in Germany in the 1930s", supports- he, taking offense at a debate on freedom of expression after this drawing circulated on social networks: "You really have to be uneducated not to see that this drawing is anti-Semitic", he insists .

The Licra announced, in the process, that it will constitute a civil party alongside Jacques Attali, whom it assures of its support.

Appeared at the beginning of June on the wall of a parking lot in Avignon (Vaucluse), the fresco representing Emmanuel Macron manipulated by the economist and adviser Jacques Attali, was finally erased on June 24.

"Following the emotional reactions and the growing controversy aroused by the graffiti artist Lekto's fresco located in the Italian parking lot in Avignon, the prefect of Vaucluse spoke with the president of Grand Avignon, owner of the premises, in order to agree erasure of this fresco.

This operation was carried out this very morning, “said the prefecture.

The author of the drawing, known as Lekto on Instagram, had titled his work "The puppeteer", in a publication on the platform, qualifying Jacques Attali from Gepetto and Emmanuel Macron from Pinocchio.
