The Lebanese President, General Michel Aoun, affirmed that the process of forming a new Lebanese government capable of facing the challenges of the next stage will not take long.
Aoun said during his meeting with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron in Baabda Palace today, "I hope to make our pain a catalyst for us to become a civil state where efficiency is the standard and the law is the guarantor of equal rights." .
Aoun called on the Lebanese forces to respond to the path of forming the government.
For his part, the French President affirmed his country's stand by Lebanon's side in the current crisis, expressing his readiness to contribute directly to holding a meeting devoted to discussing Lebanon's needs within an economic recovery plan in which several countries participate, and Lebanon's support is the common denominator between them.
Yesterday, Lebanese President Michel Aoun assigned Dr. Mustafa Adeeb to form the new government, after obtaining 90 votes during the parliamentary consultations.
