(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 12 - Atlantia closed the first quarter of the year with a profit of € 446 million (first quarter 2021 loss of € 158 million), of which pertaining to the group for € 344 million (loss of 97 million euros in the first quarter of 2021) and attributable to third parties for 102 million euros (loss of 61 million euros in the first quarter of 2021).
This was announced by the Group, adding that revenues and EBITDA amounted to 1.5 billion and 0.9 billion euros, up 13% and 16% respectively compared to the first quarter of 2021, "benefiting from the recovery of motorway and airport traffic".
The 2022 outlook is confirmed with revenues and EBITDA expected at 6.6 billion euros and 4.1 billion euros.
As for traffic, motorway traffic grew by 16.2%,
with recovery in all countries (+ 2.3% compared to 2019) while the airport one is "improving" although still lower than the pre-pandemic levels (-51.9% compared to 2019).
