Attack in front of the US Capitol: woman threatens police officers with baseball bat

The Capitol Police have been on alert since the storming of the Capitol at the latest: A woman swung a baseball bat against employees in front of the congress building - she bit down in a fight with the police officers.

When police officers tried to disarm her, she bit down: The Capitol Police said they had arrested a 25-year-old woman after an argument in front of the congress building.

She appeared "aroused" and "yelled at" several officers, according to the Capitol Police.

“When she raised the bat, the officers tried to take it from her.

At that moment the woman was violent and bit one of the officers ”.

Accordingly, charges were brought against the woman.

There were already several violent incidents against police officers at the US Capitol in 2021: On January 6, Trump supporters stormed the building during protests, five people died, including one police officer.

In April, a man rammed two police officers in his car and one was killed.

In August, a man in the government district threatened to detonate a bomb - but then surrendered.
