The first Israeli to experience the strange medal ceremony required by the corona laws in Tokyo, was today (Saturday) Avishag Samberg.
The taekwondo fighter, who was anonymous to many until this morning, delighted an entire country with a bronze medal on the first day of the Olympics and gave great hope to the Israeli delegation for the sequel.
Immediately after the medal ceremony, 19-year-old Samberg turned to the Olympic Committee and asked: "Tell me, what did she do for the first time?".
The medal winner was disappointed for her member of the delegation who failed to bring another medal to Israel, after being in the same status of a bronze medal fight, only in the judo industry.

At the press conference, the new medalist said: "My coach told me that if I did not fight for it now I would regret it all my life. My coach made sure to tell me the right sentences throughout the fight. I do not digest that I am an Olympic medalist. I am waiting to talk to my mom, dad and friend. There are a lot of people I have to thank. "
