Vaterstetten – Is there still something going on in terms of relegation and relegation?
Players and SCBV officials eagerly researched this question after the 6-1 home win over Bad Endorf.
Nobody came to a clear result on Saturday evening.
Specifically, it is about the following scenario: If the SCBV (13th) wins the last game of the season in Aschheim, there would be 29 points in the account.
SV Reichertsheim (11th) and SV Westerndorf (12th) are currently on the two relegation ranks with just these 29 points.
In order to draw level in the final score on points, the SCBV is absolutely dependent on Schützenhilfe.
"Because in the event of a tie, the direct comparison that we lost against Reichertsheim (3:2, 1:3) is the decisive factor, only Westerndorf is actually of interest to us," department head Helmut Lämmermeier calculates from Baldham's balanced record against SVW: 0-0 at home, 2-2 away.
Which mode applies according to the definition?
Now comes the sticking point for Lämmermeier.
Opinions differ on the definition of "European Cup mode".
"We are assuming that the old system will apply, i.e. away goals will count twice and that we would win the direct comparison with Westerndorf," said Lämmermeier.
At the beginning of May, the Ebersberger Zeitung reported on the contradictory wording in the basic BFV rules of the game (as of January 2022) and the official supplement to the promotion and relegation regulations at district and district level (as of July 18, 2021).
Wolf-Peter Schulte, chairman of the district game committee, explains when asked again: "It was always clear to us that the old European Cup mode applies and that away goals count twice." is applicable.
If TSV Reichertsheim would lose, the SVR would be relegated
Consequently, if the SCBV wins in Aschheim and the Westerndorfers lose against Buchbach II (31 points) at the same time, they would save themselves in the relegation.
It plays into the Baldhamers' cards that Buchbach's reserves have to win themselves to ensure relegation.
For his part, Buchbach has lost the direct comparison with Reichertsheim.
And now it's getting complicated (again): If TSV Reichertsheim also lost at champions VfB Forstinning and ultimately finished with 29 points together with SV Westerndorf and SV Baldham-Vaterstetten, Westerndorf and Baldham would be in the relegation - and the SVR because of two 1 :2 defeats against Westerndorf relegated.
This is made possible by the special table from the direct comparisons, which is formed when three or more teams have the same number of points to determine the placements.
The bottom line is that the SCBV needs an away win in Aschheim and a Buchbacher win against Westerndorf in order to be able to achieve relegation in the district league east.
