(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 04 - A perturbation of Atlantic origin will bring a new wave of bad weather over Italy in the next few hours with rains and strong winds that will mainly affect the central-southern regions.
Based on the available forecasts, the Civil Protection Department has issued a weather alert that foresees a storm from the next 20 hours on the coastal areas of Tuscany and Lazio, extending from Sunday morning to Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily.
Also in the early hours of Sunday, widespread rainfall is also expected, locally also very intense and accompanied by hail, lightning and strong gusts of wind, on Campania, Basilicata and Calabria.
The Department therefore assessed an orange alert on the central-northern Tyrrhenian side of Calabria and on the north-western sector of Basilicata.
