Australian world number one Ashleigh Barty reached the fourth round of the Australian Open after defeating Italian Camila Giorgi.
And Barty, the seed, needed one hour to decide the outcome of the match in her favour, and beat her opponent, Giorgi, in two sets, 6-2, 6-3.
Barty will play in the next round of the first of the four Grand Slam tournaments with American Amanda Anisimova, who in turn ousted the defending champion Naomi Osaka of Japan.
