(ANSA) - MILAN, 29 SEPTEMBER - The prison regime for Cesare Battisti has been declassified: from 'high security' to 'common'.
In recent months, in fact, the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office expressed, through the head of the Milanese anti-terrorism pool, Alberto Nobili, an opinion in favor of the 'declassification', then replied by the prison administration.
In the opinion sent to the DAP it was indicated that the exterrorist had disassociated himself from the armed struggle, that the group in which he was active (ie the CAP) has dissolved and that no investigations are underway against him.
"Just discount the punishment that was inflicted on him for the wrongs he committed and that's okay for me" commented Maurizio Campagna, brother of Andrea, the agent killed by Battisti on April 19, 1979 in Milan.
