Thilo Kehrer is now talking about the Bayern rumors.

Hamburg - In the World Cup qualifier against North Macedonia (Monday, 8.45 p.m.), national coach Hansi Flick should again rely on Thilo Kehrer.

The 25-year-old defender has moved up to the regular team under the new German head coach and is convincing with good performances.

The native of Tübingen is usually not the first choice at Paris St. Germain, but he can hardly imagine a return to Germany, especially a move to FC Bayern *, at the moment.

In the past transfer period, Kehrer and the German record champions were repeatedly linked *, but there was never a transfer.

“I heard the reports,” the 25-year-old confesses to

"Bayern Munich is certainly one of the largest clubs in the world and is firmly established in top European football," Kehrer continues.

“But I want to concentrate completely on my sporting tasks and try to assert myself in Paris and bring my qualities to bear.” A sensational transfer from Kehrer to FC Bayern therefore seems to be off the table in the near future.

Versatility speaks for national players

The defensive specialist is still tied to the Parisians for one and a half years, after which he would be available for free.

The full-back position in particular gives Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann * some headaches, especially Benjamin Pavard *, the regular right-back, has recently repeatedly shown his vulnerability.

Due to his versatility, however, Kehrer could also be used in the sixth position and thus relieve his national team colleague Joshua Kimmich *.

It remains to be seen whether Munich will again put out their feelers for the former Schalke player.

Kehrer's statements suggest that his immediate future will lie in Paris.
